service on saturday
We've got the service set! We'll hope to see you at 11am this Saturday, February 12th at Fellowship church in Rogers, Arkansas. We're having a barbeque lunch following the celebration service, so come hungry.
2/8 update:
Here's some more information about where at the church the service will be. It'll be in the training center chapel at the north end of the campus.
There are two buildings attached by a breezeway in purple and the service is in the one (on the map) that is identified as auditorium. There are signs that direct traffic to the Training Center and the main office building does have Training Center labeled on it

donations
For anyone wanting to make donations in Ray's memory, there are two organizations Ray was involved with that would be great to give to.
Oceans of Mercy is the ministry Ray served with when he went to South Africa. They provide hope, life, and love to orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. You can give online at http://www.oceansofmercy.com/, and you can put Ray Vaughn's name in at the very end (after you submit). Thank you.
The Samaritan Community Center is a soup kitchen and more that Ray served with in Rogers. They are committed to breaking the cycle of hopelessness in Northwest Arkansas. You can give online at http://www.samcc.org/, and then email Debbie Rambo drambo@samcc.org to let them know your donation is for Ray Vaughn's memorial. Thank you.

family service
Monday evening, before the ice and snow came, we had a memorial service at Gina's house for the family who was in town, mostly from Sante Fe and also some family in Rogers. A few pastors from their church came to lead the service and did a great job. We got to sing Blessed Assurance and I Will Rise, heard about how much Jesus loves us, Joshua gave a similar eulogy to what he's planning to at the bigger service, and we all got to share memories of Ray. It was really wonderful to be able to have this service together.
Here are videos of the songs we got to enjoy together:

obituary
Here's a copy of the obituary:
http://www.stockdalefuneral.com/Obituaries/Obituary_Vaughn_Ray.html
The life of Lowell Ray Vaughn began in Visalia, California in 1958 and ended in Rogers, Arkansas this Saturday past. Raised since early childhood in McDonald County, Missouri and a 1976 graduate of McDonald County High School, the true adventure of Ray’s life began in adolescence when he trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Ray was the son of Vivian Estelle Vaughn and Lowell “Red” Vaughn. He is preceded in death by his father Red and his brothers Leon and Jim. Ray will be missed by his loving and loyal brother Bill Crowe. Ray was a successful entrepreneur, an avid fisherman, and more than anything else he treasured people the way his Savior did. Ray was a dedicated, faithful, and loving husband to Gina Vaughn and a better father than his two children Joshua and Kristen Vaughn could have ever hoped for. His legacy of love lives on in his grandchildren Noah Rains, Evalana Vaughn, and Lazarus Vaughn. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday February 2nd at Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers, AR, with reception immediately following. Instead of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in his name to Samaritan House (www.samcc.org) where he would serve the community of Rogers; or to Oceans of Mercy (www.oceansofmercy.org), an organization Ray worked with to meet the needs of orphans on a missions trip to South Africa.
