The life of Lowell Ray Vaughn began in Visalia, California in 1958 and ended in Rogers, Arkansas this Saturday past. Raised since early childhood in McDonald County, Missouri and a 1976 graduate of McDonald County High School, the true adventure of Ray’s life began in adolescence when he trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Ray was the son of Vivian Estelle Vaughn and Lowell “Red” Vaughn. He is preceded in death by his father Red and his brothers Leon and Jim. Ray will be missed by his loving and loyal brother Bill Crowe. Ray was a successful entrepreneur, an avid fisherman, and more than anything else he treasured people the way his Savior did. Ray was a dedicated, faithful, and loving husband to Gina Vaughn and a better father than his two children Joshua and Kristen Vaughn could have ever hoped for. His legacy of love lives on in his grandchildren Noah Rains, Evalana Vaughn, and Lazarus Vaughn. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday February 2nd at Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers, AR, with reception immediately following. Instead of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in his name to Samaritan House (www.samcc.org) where he would serve the community of Rogers; or to Oceans of Mercy (www.oceansofmercy.org), an organization Ray worked with to meet the needs of orphans on a missions trip to South Africa.
