I have been reading the gospel of John out loud to dad at his bedside. I try to end at the end of a chapter every time I quit so it is easier to pick up where I left off. Today I was reading while the dialysis lady was wrapping up her thing and she was just about to kick me out. I ended with John 14. I believe the setting is Jesus talking to his disciples during/around the last supper, and I smiled at how fitting the words seemed. They really made me smile. It ends with Jesus saying:
"Get up; let's leave this place."
